Volunteers are the backbone of this organization. The only paid staff are the coaches. We hope you will consider how you can helps support the swimmers on this team. Look through the ways you can help.
Becoming an Official
Our swim team offers opportunities to compete whether through our own Intrasquads or through official USA Swimming meets hosted in and around Missour i Valley Swimming. Officials make these meets happen. They understand the rules and want to help swimmers compete within those rules. They are there to help make swim meets fair and equitable and competitive, unlike other sports. Becoming an official for us comes with some perks too.

Event Planning
We are not all just swim, swim, swim. We like to do activities that have little to do with swimming and everything to do with team building and camraderie. We have a dedicated board member position but they too can use help in and around the event. Some events we do are ice cream socials, eat n' earns, year end celebration plus unique activity.
Fundraising
Raising money is an important supporting component to any swim team. We have a variety of ways to participate.
Every year we host our own Swim-a-thon. Every family who is a member of this team is expected to contribute a minimum either through participating in the event or through a dollar donation. Our team site provides a direct link to donate to your swimmer.
Donate through Financial Donations or Loyalty Cards
You can donate money as a flat single dollar donation, stock options or through various fundraising events throughout the year. Any kind of financial donation should be submitted to Lawrence Aquahawks Booster Club if it is outside the Swim-a-Thon system.
The swim team is a civic non profit organization. In order to receive tax benefits, a booster club was established in 2012. They provide financial support back to the team upon request. The Treasurer and/or President of the board should be able to answer questions for special donations.
You can donate through your Dillon's Loyalty card where you can link your Dillons card to the Lawrence Aquahawks through their Community Rewards Program. In return, the Aquahawks receive a percentage of all purchases you make using your card.
